Motion capture system for teaching robots
The motion capture system enables collaborative teaching and learning for robots at Osaka University, Faculty of Engineering Science.
Mr. Wan Weiwei, who serves as a long-term associate professor at Osaka University’s Graduate School of Engineering Science, has installed NOKOV motion capture cameras in the robotics laboratory to obtain position data of both the experimenter and the robotic arm. By using the motion capture system, human motion data can be sent to collaborative robots, allowing for personalized "teaching." This method enables collaborative robots to acquire human motion posture information in real-time, immediately imitate it, and work alongside human experimenters to complete a cooperative relationship. The teaching-learning method using the motion capture system can be applied to various robotic arm hardware devices, achieving flexible robot operations in diverse production environments.
